Overview
Opened in 1984 inside the old Dinorwic slate quarry, it is known as Electric Mountain. Its six turbines can go from standby to full output in about 16 seconds, covering sudden surges in demand such as half time kettles. Water drops from Marchlyn Mawr to Llyn Peris.
