Overview
Thirty four 700 MW class turbines and two 50 MW units entered service from 2003 to 2012. Annual generation passed 110 TWh in 2020, a world record for a single station. The dam provides flood control and navigation for the Yangtze and displaced about 1.3 million people, the largest resettlement for one project in history.
